Career
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Simon spent a number of years in the financial markets as broker, trader and risk management/regulatory compliance.
Post admission, Simon has spent time as a mediation conference organiser (Family Dispute Resolution unit) with Legal Aid NSW, Simon commenced working as a solicitor in Sydney initially at Legal Aid NSW (Grant Solicitor – Crime) then moved into private practice with a small suburban firm specialising in criminal law. Simon commenced with the Northern Territory Director of Public Prosecutions in early 2020 with roles in both Summary and Crown Prosecutions.
In early 2021, Simon signed the Northern Territory Bar Roll as Barrister.
Simon has appeared as an advocate in the Northern Territory Local and Supreme Courts as well as the New South Wales Local, District and Supreme Courts, before the Youth Justice Court and State Parole Authority. Simon has also appeared in the Federal Circuit Court in New South Wales.
